Glacial Eye

The Glacial Eye, known as "グヘイスアイ" in Japanese, is a flying monster in Final Fantasy VIII. It is commonly found in the Balamb Plains and serves as a good source of Blizzard spells early in the game. The Glacial Eye is immune to Ice-elemental attacks but is weak against Fire. When its HP drops to a certain level, it may use a Vampire attack. Besides being an enemy, it's also a Triple Triad card, which can be used in the minigame or refined into an item via Quezacotl's Card Mod. Glacial Eyes also appear in other areas of the game, such as during the Balamb Garden Revolt event. Its attacks include ice-based moves and Petrify Stare, so players must be careful. Glacial Eye has made appearances in other Final Fantasy spinoff games and is a common card in many games.
