Ifrit(Boss)

Ifrit is a significant character in Final Fantasy VIII, both as an early boss the player must face and as a Guardian Force (summon) that can be obtained. He first appears in the Fire Cavern, where the player must defeat him within a time limit, with the battle performance affecting the SeeD exam score. Ifrit's appearance is bestial, with brown fur, sharp horns, and claws, differing from his humanoid forms in previous games. As a Fire-elemental Guardian Force, his signature move is "Hell Fire," dealing fire damage to all enemies. In battle, Ifrit uses physical attacks and fire magic, with a weakness to ice. After being defeated, Ifrit joins the player's party and can learn abilities like HP-J, Str-J, and strength-boosting support skills. He also possesses unique abilities like "Str Bonus" and "Mad Rush," and can refine items into fire magic and ammunition. Ifrit is a recurring fire summon in the Final Fantasy series, but his design and skills vary across different titles.
