Iron Giant

In Final Fantasy VIII, the Iron Giant (鉄巨人) is a recurring enemy, a large metallic humanoid creature often wielding a large sword. Known for its powerful physical attacks, it typically appears as a dangerous foe in the later parts of the game. In the game, the Iron Giant's HP is calculated with the formula 3(Lv)² + 660(Lv), and it uses skills such as "Grand Sword" and "Mighty Guard". When its HP drops to about 50%, it casts "Mighty Guard", giving itself and its allies Protect and Shell effects. Players can reduce its attack accuracy using Blind or Pain spells or weaken it with special attacks like Degenerator. The Iron Giant also appears as a Triple Triad card in Final Fantasy VIII, which can be obtained by defeating Iron Giants or winning it from players who use Level 5 cards. This card can be refined into Star Fragments, used for weapon customization or refining into Meteor spells.
