Norg(Boss)

NORG is a significant character and boss in Final Fantasy VIII. He is the proprietor of Balamb Garden, managing its finances, and is referred to as the 'Garden Master' by the faculty and his supporters. NORG is not human, but an elder-type Shumi from the Shumi tribe. He is stout with pale yellow skin, a bulging chin, and enormous hands. Unlike his humble and good-natured brethren, NORG is vain, selfish, and cowardly. He left Shumi Village to pursue wealth and partnered with Cid Kramer to establish Balamb Garden. NORG was not concerned with the Garden's true purpose, only focusing on amassing personal fortune. In the story, he attempts to hand over the main characters to the sorceress Edea for his own benefit, ultimately leading to a battle with the protagonists. NORG’s battle form sees him hidden within a NORG Pod, which must be destroyed before attacking him. During the fight, NORG uses magic and can be drawn with the Guardian Force Leviathan. After being defeated, NORG transforms into a cocoon-like form and does not appear again.
