Odin(Boss)

Odin is an optional boss and a non-controllable Guardian Force in Final Fantasy VIII. He is obtained after completing the puzzles and challenges at the Centra Ruins, located on the Centra continent. Odin is unique as he does not attack the player, but must be defeated within a 20-minute time limit. This battle is similar to the Odin battle in Final Fantasy V, emphasizing a time-limited challenge. Once defeated, Odin joins the party as a Guardian Force, randomly appearing at the beginning of battles to instantly defeat enemies with his signature "Zantetsuken." In the storyline, if obtained before a certain point, Odin appears during the battle with Seifer but is countered and defeated. His sword, Zantetsuken, is then taken by Gilgamesh, who replaces Odin for random battle appearances. Players can defeat Odin multiple times to farm rare items and cards.
