Raijin(Boss)

Raijin is a significant character in Final Fantasy VIII, appearing as a boss the player must fight. A member of Balamb Garden's disciplinary committee, Raijin is a loyal companion to Seifer Almasy, often acting alongside Fujin. He is a muscular 18-year-old with short black hair and dark brown eyes. Typically, he wears a blue vest, baggy black pants with a red belt, and black boots. Raijin primarily utilizes a staff in physical combat. His personality is somewhat brash; he relies on his friends and often uses the phrase "ya know?" Despite his sometimes clumsy demeanor, he is very loyal to his friends. Throughout the game, Raijin and Fujin clash with the main characters, but ultimately show unwavering loyalty towards Seifer, even as he goes down a dark path. During battles, Raijin avoids attacking female characters, but he will not hesitate to attack if only females remain. Raijin’s name is derived from the Japanese god of thunder, reflecting his use of thunder-based attacks and his connection with lightning.
