Raldo(Boss)

Raldo is a boss in Final Fantasy VIII, first encountered in Balamb Garden's training center alongside Granaldo on graduation night. Players face three Raldos along with one Granaldo. Later, Raldo also appears as a regular enemy in Ultimecia Castle, the final dungeon. Raldo is a relatively weak boss, despite being swift, with only one attack. It is one of the first monsters from which the player can draw the spell Protect. When Raldos are present, Granaldo will throw them at the player as an attack, which is actually weaker than Granaldo's other attacks. Raldo is not immune to instant death effects, so players can quickly defeat them using abilities like Quistis's Degenerator. Overall, Raldo is a low-threat boss, mainly serving as a support for Granaldo.
