Slapper

The Slapper is an enemy found exclusively in the ice rink of Galbadia Garden in Final Fantasy VIII. To encounter it, players must speak with a Galbadian student in the ice rink's locker room during their first visit to Galbadia Garden. These demi-human athletes wear jerseys with “The Bears” team logo. The Slapper is one of the few enemies in the game that does not have a Triple Triad card. In battle, Slappers use different attacks based on their numbers, such as "Formation M! Go!!!" for Blizzard magic and "Formation G! Go!!!" for physical attacks. They also use a powerful attack called "We have heart! Go Galbadia!," which always hits and ignores defense. Slappers have no specific weaknesses and absorb water damage, but their resistances to other elements are not high. Players can steal items from Slappers and draw various spells.
