Languages:

  • Chinese: 都尔门
  • Japanese: ドルメン
  • English: Trauma(Boss)
Trauma, also known as 'Dolmen', is a boss encountered in the art gallery of Ultimecia Castle in Final Fantasy VIII. It serves as one of the eight minions of the sorceress Ultimecia. Trauma is assisted by small support machines called Droma. During battle, Trauma uses 'Mini Pulse Cannon' attacks, and after the Droma are defeated, it employs a more powerful 'Mega Pulse Cannon.' Trauma also heals itself by draining HP from the Droma. Additionally, players can draw the 'Meltdown' spell from Trauma, and in some versions, the summon Leviathan if it wasn't drawn from NORG earlier. The key to defeating Trauma is to use wind-based attacks and apply 'Meltdown' to lower its high defense. Before engaging, players need to solve an art gallery puzzle based on the clock face on the floor to unlock the battle. Trauma has appeared in other Final Fantasy titles such as Final Fantasy Record Keeper and Mobius Final Fantasy.
