Tri-Face

In Final Fantasy VIII, Tri-Face is a powerful enemy characterized by having three heads, though only the middle one is real. It appears in locations such as Balamb Garden's MD Level, Galbadia Garden, and later in the game, in areas like the Island Closest to Heaven and the Deep Sea Research Center. Tri-Face is well-known for dropping Curse Spikes, a valuable item used to create powerful items like Dark Matter, which is essential for learning Quistis's ultimate Blue Magic. Players often farm Tri-Face in fixed encounters in the Deep Sea Research Center for efficient Curse Spike collection. During battles, Tri-Face uses attacks like 'Poison Gas,' which can inflict status ailments such as poison and confuse. It's vulnerable to the Stop spell, and players can also steal Curse Spikes from it. Tri-Face is also a Triple Triad card that can be converted into a Curse Spike.
