Ultima Weapon(Boss)

Original Titleアルテマウェポン

Languages:

  • Chinese: 创世兵器
  • Japanese: アルテマウェポン
  • English: Ultima Weapon(Boss)
In Final Fantasy VIII, Ultima Weapon is a powerful optional superboss found at the bottom of the Deep Sea Research Center. It is known for being one of the few enemies from which the powerful Guardian Force Eden can be drawn, as well as the spell Ultima. Defeating Ultima Weapon rewards the player with a SeeD rank and allows progression deeper into the Deep Sea Research Center. This boss is notorious for its high attack power and speed, with its most dangerous attack, 'Light Pillar,' inflicting a fixed 9999 damage to a single target, often resulting in an instant knockout. Players need to employ strategies such as using Meltdown or Doomtrain to lower its defense or utilizing Rinoa's Angel Wing with Meteor magic to defeat it effectively. Additionally, Ultima Weapon wields a unique sword similar to Cloud Strife’s weapon from Final Fantasy VII, and also appears as a boss card in the Triple Triad minigame of Final Fantasy VIII. During the battle, players can also steal the rare item 'Three Stars' or obtain 'Ultima Stones' from it.
