Wedge(Boss)

Wedge is a recurring boss in Final Fantasy VIII, often appearing alongside his superior officer, Biggs. They are presented as incompetent Galbadian soldiers, providing comic relief throughout the game. Wedge is typically seen wearing a blue uniform, contrasting with Biggs's red one, reflecting their different ranks. Despite their attempts to be menacing, they are generally clumsy and prone to demotion due to their own blunders. Players encounter them in multiple battles, such as at the Dollet Communication Tower and the D-District Prison. In combat, Wedge uses sword attacks and fire magic. In later battles, he gains increased stats when damaged, indicated by a “Pissed” status. Though they act as minor antagonists, Biggs and Wedge's humorous interactions offer a lighthearted touch to the game. They also feature as a card in the Triple Triad minigame, which can be refined into an X-Potion.
