Charlemagne

Charlemagne, also known as Karl der Große (Charles the Great), appears as a Saber-class Servant in Fate/Grand Order (FGO). He is the King of the Franks and the Holy Roman Emperor, known as the "Father of Europe." In the game, Charlemagne is not strictly based on history but is portrayed as a naive and carefree young hero who judges everything by what is "cool." He leads the Twelve Paladins and possesses formidable combat skills and unique abilities. Charlemagne's Noble Phantasm, "Joyeuse Ordre," summons twelve shining swords to inflict massive damage on enemies. As an AoE Quick-type Servant, he exhibits strong damage output and NP gain capabilities, making him suitable for high-difficulty quests and daily farming. Within the FGO story, Charlemagne is often distinguished from the historical Karl der Große, emphasizing his role as a hero and adventurer rather than solely an emperor.
