Altria Pendragon (Alter), often referred to as Black Saber, is a significant character in Fate/Grand Order (FGO). She is the corrupted form of Artoria Pendragon, the King Arthur, after being tainted by the Holy Grail's curse. Unlike her original righteous and compassionate persona, Altria Alter exhibits a ruthless and tyrannical side, suppressing everything with sheer power. She wields her immense magical energy without hesitation, wielding the dark sword 'Excalibur Morgan' to annihilate enemies. Though her personality becomes violent, the core of her pursuit of ideals remains unchanged, albeit through drastically different methods. In this Alter form, her food preferences shift, no longer appreciating meticulously prepared meals but rather craving large amounts of junk food. In battle, she excels at burst damage with her strong magic power, making her an outstanding single-target damage dealer. However, her defense and sustainability are relatively weak, requiring support from teammates. Overall, Altria Pendragon (Alter) is a very popular character in FGO, demonstrating a different possibility for King Arthur after being consumed by dark power.
