Gilgamesh (Child), also known as "Child Gil," is a character that appears in Fate/Grand Order (FGO). He is the youthful form of the ancient Mesopotamian hero-king Gilgamesh, who has returned to his child appearance through the use of a potion of youth from the Gate of Babylon. In Fate/hollow ataraxia, he uses this form to act discreetly, while in Fate/Grand Order, he is summoned as an Archer-class servant to fight in defense of human history. In stark contrast to his adult counterpart, Child Gil is humble and polite, and was lauded as a tolerant, wise, fair, and moral ruler by the citizens of Uruk, showing a drastically different side from the tyrant image of the adult Gilgamesh. He possesses different abilities from his adult form. While lacking sufficient magical energy to summon a multitude of Noble Phantasms, his usage of limited weaponry is more refined, and he is equipped with a special ability called "King's Smile," which can petrify or stun opponents. In the story, Child Gil expresses dislike for his adult self, and is puzzled as to how he could become that way.
