Hans Christian Andersen

Hans Christian Andersen, the Danish author renowned for his fairy tales, appears in "Fate/Grand Order" as a Caster-class Servant. Despite his fame as a master storyteller for children, the game portrays a contrasting side of him: a pessimistic and cynical poet. In the game, Andersen appears as a child, reflecting his aversion to his adult life and his belief that his childhood was his most talented period. He is small in stature, covered with scars from the characters in his own tales, embodying the concept of the "Innocent Monster"—his image distorted by his readers. Andersen possesses keen observational skills, enabling him to discern the flaws of others, stemming from his profound understanding of human nature. Though his words are harsh, his actions reveal his desire to help others in his own way. His Noble Phantasm, 'Märchen Meines Lebens,' allows him to write a book based on his observation of a target, enhancing their "ideal self." He also shares a unique interaction with the character Sessyoin Kiara in the game.
