Foxy

Foxy (フォクシー, Fokushī) is a character in The King of Fighters series. She first appears as one of Kula Diamond's alternative strikers in The King of Fighters 2000, and becomes a playable character in The King of Fighters 2001 as a member of the NESTS team. She ties her hair with the flag of the NESTS organization. Foxy is considered a tribute to Cutey Honey for her similar sword, manner of dress, ability to change outfits in a flash, and her fighting style. She was originally not planned to be playable, intending to join with Diana, but time constraints prevented the latter. Despite appearing mortally wounded in the storyline, developers have assured players that Foxy is still alive. She's widely considered one of the top tier characters in her playable debut. A loyal agent of NESTS, she and Diana were ordered to supervise the Anti-K' project, Kula Diamond. They were also dispatched to eliminate the rogue agent, Zero. Afterwards, she was ordered to enter the next tournament with Kula and two untrusted agents, K9999 and Angel, where she was severely injured. She later discovers that the original president of NESTS was murdered by Igniz, leading her to cease her loyalties to NESTS and join Diana as an independent party.
