Hinako Shijo

Hinako Shijo is an original character from The King of Fighters series, first introduced in The King of Fighters 2000 as part of the Women Fighters Team. She is a young lady from a prestigious family with a seemingly delicate appearance, yet she is a master of Sumo wrestling. Hinako has a gentle and somewhat naive personality, but she's also passionate about Sumo and dreams of women excelling in the sport. She fights using various Sumo techniques, including throws, slaps, and even headbutts. Her moves are often named after real Sumo techniques. Hinako is loved by many players for her unique Sumo fighting style and her contrasting cute appearance. Although her initial design was inspired by the manga character "Jarinko Chie", she was later revised into a naive and Sumo-enthusiastic high school girl. Hinako has appeared in several King of Fighters titles, and made a comeback as a DLC character in The King of Fighters XV.
