Aya

Aya (アヤ) is a minor character in The King of Fighters (ザ・キング・オブ・ファイターズ) series, an employee of Rugal Bernstein. She usually appears alongside another character named Hermione. Aya has black hair, while Hermione has red hair. They serve as Rugal's secretaries in the games, replacing Mature and Vice, who previously held that role. They are not considered canonical since they only appear in "Dream Match" games. Aya and Hermione first appeared in *The King of Fighters '98: Dream Match Never Ends*, where they appear in Rugal's winpose. They have also appeared in *The King of Fighters '98 Ultimate Match* and *The King of Fighters 2002: Challenge to Ultimate Battle*. Additionally, Aya makes a cameo appearance in the background of the Last Resort stage in *Neo Geo Battle Coliseum*. Overall, Aya is a non-playable character within The King of Fighters series, primarily acting as an assistant to Rugal rather than being involved in the main story arcs.
