Maxima

Maxima, also known as Makishima, is a popular character in The King of Fighters series. He first appeared in The King of Fighters '99 as a member of the Hero Team. Maxima is a large, cybernetically-enhanced man whose design was inspired by a character from SNK's earlier game, Robo Army. His official nickname is the "Steel Human Weapon." Maxima was originally a Canadian soldier who volunteered for extensive cybernetic modifications to avenge his fallen comrade, Rocky. He possesses superhuman strength, incredible reaction time, and various built-in weapons like the Vapor Cannon and laser cannons. Maxima is known for his serious, dutiful nature, and he considers K’ as his new partner, often apologizing for K'’s impulsive behavior. His fighting style combines strikes, throws, and the use of his mechanical weaponry, making him a formidable defensive and oppressive fighter. In gameplay, Maxima excels at controlling space and shutting down opponents with his high-damage abilities and combos. Despite being slow, his high defense and powerful offense make him a fearsome opponent.
