Chang Koehan, also known as チャン・コーハン/チャン・ゴハン, is a recurring member of the Korean Team in The King of Fighters series. In Korean, "Koehan" means giant man, although the more common term for a giant is "Guh-in". He is one of the few characters in the series to fight with a weapon, his weapon being a large iron ball. Chang Koehan was once a feared and violent criminal in Korea, later apprehended by Kim Kaphwan and forced to participate in his "Rehabilitation Project". During the project, he befriended fellow convict Choi Bounge, and from initially attempting to escape, they eventually grew to enjoy each other's company. Chang's personality dramatically changed because of the "Rehabilitation Project", going from brutal to lethargic and silly. He primarily fights with his iron ball and body weight, although, under Kim Kaphwan's Taekwondo training, he can perform moves like Hienzan. He appeared as a playable character in Capcom vs. SNK 2 with Choi Bounge as his non-playable partner. Chang Koehan is a fan favorite for his immense size, comical personality, and iconic iron ball, although he is less prioritized than Kim in the series. He is one of the few characters in the series who has multiple outfits and appearances.
