Nests

NESTS (ネスツ) is a secret organization featured in the King of Fighters (KOF) series, first appearing in The King of Fighters '99 and serving as the main antagonist force in The King of Fighters 2000 and The King of Fighters 2001. NESTS' goal is to conquer the world by using the King of Fighters tournament to collect combat data from fighters, creating powerful bio-weapons and clones. This organization possesses advanced technology, with its headquarters located on a satellite orbiting Earth, allowing for research in bio-engineering and other high-tech fields. Notable members include K', Kula Diamond, Zero, and Igniz. They use cloning and genetic modification to create powerful fighters, such as clones of Kyo Kusanagi. NESTS introduced a new story arc, the 'NESTS Saga,' as the second major storyline after the 'Orochi Saga.' The downfall of NESTS marked a significant turning point in the KOF series, although remnants of the organization have appeared in later storylines. The NESTS saga is known for its science fiction and conspiracy elements, bringing new themes and challenges to the KOF series.
