Ling

Ling (リング) is a character in The King of Fighters series. He was the leader of a mercenary group, of which Seth and Vanessa were also members. Sometime before the KOF 2000 tournament, Ling was murdered by Clone Zero, who then impersonated him. Zero created a clone of Ling and put him in Ling's place. Heidern approached the Ling clone, seeking his cooperation to capture K' and Maxima in order to find NESTS' headquarters. However, during the tournament, the Ling clone betrayed Heidern and revealed himself to be an associate of Zero. After Zero's defeat, the Ling clone was killed by Heidern. Although a minor character, Ling has a significant impact on The King of Fighters story, particularly in the plot of KOF 2000, where his true identity is a major plot twist.
