Gato

Gato (牙刀, Gatō) is a character from the Fatal Fury series, who first appeared in Garou: Mark of the Wolves and later as a playable character in The King of Fighters (ザ・キング・オブ・ファイターズ) series. He is a taciturn and powerful martial artist, known as the "Taciturn Fist of Vengeance." Gato's backstory centers on his quest for revenge against his father, who murdered his mother. He travels the world honing his martial arts skills in pursuit of his father. His fighting style is rooted in Chinese martial arts, blending styles like Bajiquan and Xinyiliuhequan with a focus on rapid and forceful strikes, many of which are named with "fang". In The King of Fighters, Gato has teamed up with various characters, notably with Ryuji Yamazaki and Billy Kane as part of the "Outlaw Team" and with Bonne Jenet and Tizoc in the "Garou Team." Despite his cold and aloof demeanor, he has a hidden soft spot, particularly toward Hotaru Futaba, who is thought to be his younger sister. Gato is portrayed as a relentless avenger, constantly seeking retribution.
