Eiji Kisaragi is a character in both The King of Fighters and Art of Fighting series. He is a ninja from the Kisaragi-ryu ninjutsu clan, known for his intense rivalry with the Kyokugenryu Karate. Eiji strives to be the 'strongest under the heavens,' and aims to surpass Kyokugenryu, a martial art his clan has yet to defeat. He has made multiple appearances in The King of Fighters series, initially teaming up with Billy Kane and Iori Yagami in 1995, and later forming the Anti-Kyokugen team in KOF XI, seeking revenge and to defeat Kyokugenryu. Eiji is also speculated to be a descendant of Zantetsu from The Last Blade series. Despite his serious and vengeful demeanor, Eiji is also often portrayed as a comic relief character in later appearances. His fighting style is based on Kisaragi-ryu ninjutsu, wielding twin daggers known as 'Nagare' and 'Kage', using chi for attacks and defense.
