Sho Hayate, also known as Hayate, is the main character of the Savage Reign series. He is known for his trademark yell during Savage Reign's intro, which made him a cult favorite among Japanese fans. This same shout was used during the audition for Hayate's new voice actor in The King of Fighters XI. He is voiced by the late Kenichi Hayashi and Hiroyuki Inoue. Hayate is a dedicated warrior who is a bit behind the times. His loud voice makes him unintentionally rude to others, which unfortunately gets him into a lot of fights. His fighting style is Fu'un Ken, a unique martial art that combines karate and the use of a boomerang. He aspires to one day become a true master, training non-stop and vigorously. Hayate has also appeared in The King of Fighters series, debuting as a playable character in KOF XI, featuring a revamped and cooler look and animations.
