Duke Edwards, known as デューク・エドワーズ in Japanese, is the protagonist of the game *Burning Fight*. He also appears in *The King of Fighters 2000* as Ramon's Another Striker. Duke was once a notorious punk in Metro City known as "Mad Duke," but he later reformed and became a NYPD detective, working alongside his friend Billy King. His fighting style is a mix of Karate and Boxing, with his signature move being the "Submarine Screw," a spinning Dragon Punch-esque uppercut. In *The King of Fighters 2000*, he is voiced by Eiji Takemoto. Duke is portrayed as carefree and loves to fight, but he regrets his past actions and continues to mail apology letters to his victims. Despite his brief appearance in the *King of Fighters* series as a striker, he remains a significant character in SNK's games as the protagonist of *Burning Fight*.
