Alcina Dimitrescu, or オルチーナ・ドミトレスク in Japanese, is a major antagonist in Capcom's Resident Evil (Biohazard, バイオハザード) series, first appearing in Resident Evil Village. She is known for her towering stature, vampire-like traits, and elegant aristocratic demeanor. Dimitrescu is the Countess of Castle Dimitrescu and one of the Four Lords who rule the region under the command of Mother Miranda. She gained superhuman strength, regeneration, and immortality through the Cadou parasite, but this requires her to regularly consume large amounts of human blood. Her design was inspired by 16th-century Hungarian noblewoman Elizabeth Báthory, as well as various gothic femme fatale figures in popular culture. In the game, she and her three "daughters" rule the castle, terrorizing the local villagers and clashing with protagonist Ethan Winters. Dimitrescu garnered significant attention from players even before the game's release due to her unique charm and appearance, becoming a popular villain.
