Jodie Mason

Jodie Mason is the deceased wife of Harry Mason and the adoptive mother of Cheryl Mason in the Silent Hill series. According to the novelization of the first game, Harry met Jodie at the beginning of his sophomore year of high school. After Jodie broke up with her previous boyfriend, Harry took the opportunity to ask her out. They quickly fell in love and married, with their marriage described as a 'never-ending honeymoon.' When Harry was 25, they found an abandoned baby on the side of the road. With Harry's agreement, they adopted the baby, whom Jodie named Cheryl. It's revealed in Silent Hill that Harry and his wife desired to have children but were unable to conceive due to Jodie's illness. The game suggests that Jodie died from her said disease, while the novel contradicts this, stating that she was killed in a car crash caused by a fleeing criminal while driving home from work. In either case, her death left Harry in deep grief, and Cheryl was too young to understand what had happened. In the Good ending of Silent Hill: Origins, a radio transmission is heard of Jodie and Harry finding Cheryl. Jodie is seen finding Cheryl with Harry in the introduction video; she has dark brown hair and dark eyes, wearing a long dress with a pink floral pattern and a shawl.
