K. Gordon is a character who does not physically appear in the Silent Hill series of games, but she is a teacher at Midwich Elementary School in Silent Hill. Although she doesn't have a physical presence in the game, her profession and relationship with Alessa Gillespie are gradually revealed through memos and items scattered throughout. In the first Silent Hill, Harry Mason discovers a key labeled "K. Gordon," which opens her house and allows him access to the path towards Balkan Church. K. Gordon's name is also on the list of teachers at Midwich Elementary. The presence of blood on the garage door behind her house has led to speculation that she may have been silenced by the Order due to her concerns about Alessa and the cruel treatment she endured. However, this is purely speculative. In Silent Hill 3, Heather Mason finds a room in the church identical to Alessa's classroom, where she finds K. Gordon's notebook on the teacher's desk. The notebook reveals that Alessa was K. Gordon's student and that the teacher had concerns about the young girl and believed she was being abused. K. Gordon is named after Kim Gordon, the bassist for the band Sonic Youth, and other teachers in the game are also named after other band members.
