Norman Young

Norman Young is a minor character in the Silent Hill series, the owner of the "Motel Haerbey Inn", also known as Norman's Motel, located in the resort area of Silent Hill. He was once involved in low-level drug trafficking with Michael Kaufmann but quit due to the high risk. Norman is not a member of “The Order,” but it is rumored that he heard unsettling things about Kaufmann's recent actions. In the game, the player can find clues in the motel's rear entrance, garage, and Michael Kaufmann's room, though Norman himself does not appear directly. His motel is an important location in the first Silent Hill game, where completing the Kaufmann side quest is critical to achieving the good ending. Overall, Norman Young is a peripheral figure in the Silent Hill world, not central to the main story, but the motel he owns is an important location for player exploration.
