Laura

Laura is a major character in Silent Hill 2, a young girl often seen wandering around Silent Hill, Maine. Like James Sunderland, she is also searching for Mary Shepherd-Sunderland, unaware of her death. Laura misinterprets Mary's letter, believing her to be in Silent Hill, not heaven. She's the only innocent human character in town, contrasting with James, Angela, and Eddie. Due to her innocence, she doesn't see monsters or abnormalities, including Maria. An orphan, Laura befriended Mary a year before Silent Hill 2, becoming attached to her like a mother. Initially rude and bratty towards James and Eddie, she becomes less discourteous as the game progresses. Laura enjoys stuffed animals and drawing. In the 'Leave' ending, James might leave Silent Hill with Laura.
