Mira is a shiba inu dog featured in the "Dog" ending of Silent Hill 2, as well as the "UFO" endings of Silent Hill: Origins and Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. She also appears as a playable character in Silent Hill: The Escape, and as a hostage in Silent Hill: Book of Memories. Mira's appearances are typically associated with joke endings and her involvement is not considered canon to the main storyline. Mira is portrayed as a highly intelligent dog, shown in the "Dog" ending of Silent Hill 2 to be operating a control panel and manipulating the events of the game. She is often seen wearing headphones and enjoying music. In the "UFO" ending of Silent Hill: Origins, she appears alongside an alien, seemingly acting as a translator or interpreter. In Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, Cheryl Heather Mason even transforms into Mira. In Silent Hill: The Escape, the alien is surprised to find Mira is the mastermind behind mysterious events, leading to her becoming a playable character who attacks enemies by biting. In Silent Hill: Book of Memories, Mira appears as a hostage who needs guidance through the zone, and her dog tag is a wearable accessory. Mira is known for her unique humor and unconventional role within the Silent Hill series.
