There are two characters named "Eric" in the Silent Hill series. One is Eric, a protagonist in Silent Hill: The Arcade, a quiet, inquisitive university student and a resident of Portland. He used to live in Silent Hill as a child, but moved away. He has nightmares about Toluca Lake and becomes interested in rumors surrounding the area. His great-grandfather was the captain of the 'Little Baroness,' who disappeared on Toluca Lake. Eric travels to Silent Hill with his friend Tina to find answers. The other character is Eric Walsh from Silent Hill 4: The Room, the final victim of Walter Sullivan. Eric worked as a bartender at Bar Southfield and was murdered by Walter on his birthday, who removed his heart and is known as Victim 10. His memory is represented by a billiard ball that the player uses to escape from the Building World. In the game, Eric's ghost also appears, pinned to the ground by a sword and attacking the player. These two Erics are not the same person; each plays a different role in their respective Silent Hill stories.
