Mike

In the Silent Hill series, there are two characters named "Mike." One is a resident of South Ashfield Heights in Silent Hill 4: The Room, living in room 301. He is hated by other residents for stalking his neighbor Rachel by sending flowers and love letters. The superintendent, Frank Sunderland, mistakenly thought he was Rachel's boyfriend. He was an avid collector of porn magazines, even receiving a rare one from his late neighbor, Joseph Schreiber. He was eventually beaten and stripped of his clothes by Richard Braintree, and a young Walter Sullivan mistakenly believed him to be a heartless killer. The other is Dr. Michael Kaufmann, the director of Alchemilla Hospital in Central Silent Hill. He has close ties with Dahlia Gillespie, primarily engaging in drug trafficking. Kaufmann arranged Alessa Gillespie's medical care after her immolation and dealt with the hallucinogen PTV. He attempted to use a substance called Aglaophotis to prevent the birth of the god within Alessa. Kaufmann appears in Silent Hill: Origins, Silent Hill, and Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, with differing fates in each installment.
