Helen Grady

Helen Grady is a character in Silent Hill: Origins, the mother of the protagonist, Travis Grady. She appears in two forms throughout the game: as a mentally ill mother hospitalized in reality and as her distorted monster form, "Momma". Helen suffers from severe psychological delusions, claiming that "people in the mirrors" told her that her son was a "devil child," leading to an attempt to kill herself and Travis with gas. This incident resulted in her being committed to Cedar Grove Sanitarium. While in the sanitarium, she exhibited violent tendencies and was obsessed with seeing her son. She eventually dies from unknown causes, but her spirit and distorted image linger in Silent Hill. Helen's experiences and psychological issues profoundly impact Travis, with her monster form symbolizing his childhood traumas and fears. Her story highlights the deep impact of fractured family relationships and psychological trauma on characters in the Silent Hill series.
