James Wheeler

James Wheeler is a character in *Silent Hill: Homecoming*. He is a deputy police officer from Shepherd's Glen. Prior to the events of the game, Wheeler worked with Alex Shepherd's father, Adam, so it is likely that he knew Alex for some time. Despite being a police officer, Wheeler is quite suspicious, even paranoid, holding conspiracy theories such as cell phones being listened to and the Moon landing being fake, as revealed in his diary. Despite his distrust, Wheeler maintains a wry sense of humor. As more people from Shepherd's Glen disappeared, Wheeler boarded up the police station with Elle Holloway. In the game, Wheeler teams up with Alex and attempts to assist him in finding his missing brother, but they are later separated. Wheeler guides Alex through a walkie-talkie after being imprisoned. Ultimately, Wheeler is found in the Order's lair, with multiple knives embedded in his chest, and the player can choose whether to save him. In the UFO ending, he witnesses Alex and Elle being abducted by a spaceship and says, 'So that's where they've been taking everybody. I knew it!'
