Adam Shepherd is a character in Silent Hill: Homecoming. He is the father of Alex and Joshua, and the husband of Lillian. Adam is a descendant of Isaac Shepherd and a member of the Shepherd family, one of the four founding families of Shepherd's Glen. In the game, it's revealed that the Shepherd family is connected to The Order and their ritual requiring a child sacrifice every 50 years to appease their god. Adam was a military man who trained at Fort Benning in Georgia, served in the XVIII Airborne Corps, and was stationed at Fort Bragg in North Carolina. After retiring, he became the sheriff of Shepherd's Glen. Adam displays a noticeable favoritism towards his son Joshua, while being harsh with Alex, which was a façade he used to lessen the blow when sacrificing Alex to the cult. He is eventually brutally killed in the church by the Bogeyman.
