Martin Fitch is a major character in *Silent Hill: Homecoming*, and a descendant of one of the founders of Shepherd's Glen. As part of a pact with the Order, he was required to brutally dismember his daughter, Scarlet, to prevent the Order's influence from spreading. This act caused Fitch severe psychological trauma, leading to deep remorse, depression, and self-mutilation. In the game, he appears in the final stage of his personal 'hell,' and after a conversation with protagonist Alex, Scarlet's doll transforms into a monster named 'Scarlet' that attacks Alex. Ultimately, Scarlet kills Fitch, seemingly as punishment for his heinous act against his daughter.
