Nash is a minor character in Silent Hill: Homecoming. Information about him primarily comes from the protagonist Alex Shepherd's diary. Nash's true identity is unclear; he may be a real person or a figment of Alex's imagination. According to Alex's diary, Nash was the leader of Alex's team when they were ambushed and subsequently sent back to the U.S. for treatment. In the hospital, Alex and Nash maintain a good relationship, with Alex remarking that Nash is a good man. Nash leaves the hospital a month before Alex does, expressing disappointment that the army is only allowing him a few weeks with his family before returning to duty. His last words to Alex are "Don't trust anyone." The game's ending reveals that Alex's war experience was fabricated, and he was actually being treated in a mental institution, suggesting Nash might be a figment of his imagination or a real hospital employee. Nash's presence may represent a mentor figure Alex wished he had, as well as the inner warning he held: "Don't trust anyone."
