Puppet Nurse

The Puppet Nurse is a recurring monster in the Silent Hill series, first appearing in the original Silent Hill. They are female figures controlled by parasites, characterized by their old-fashioned nurse uniforms and a large parasite growing out of their backs, causing them to hunch over. Puppet Nurses move slowly, emit low moans, and attack with scalpels. They often cooperate, with one holding the player while the other attacks. These nurses represent the protagonist Alessa's fears and negative memories of hospitals and nurses. Their primary location is Alchemilla Hospital, and they are among the few enemies that intelligently coordinate their attacks. While the appearance and attack patterns of nurses vary in subsequent Silent Hill games, their status as classic monsters of the series remains unchanged. Their presence often symbolizes hospitals, illness, pain, and psychological trauma. The design of the Puppet Nurse embodies Silent Hill's unique horror style, blending medical fears with supernatural elements to create an oppressive and unsettling atmosphere.
