Black Widow

Black Widow is a fictional character from Marvel Comics and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the comics, multiple characters have used the Black Widow name, most notably Natasha Romanoff. She is a highly trained Russian spy and assassin, originally an antagonist to heroes like Iron Man, who later became a superhero. Natasha served as an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. and joined the Avengers. In the MCU, she is portrayed by Scarlett Johansson and is a founding member of the Avengers, possessing exceptional combat skills, espionage abilities, and tactical expertise. The 2021 film "Black Widow" delves into her past and experiences in the Red Room, as well as her relationships with her surrogate parents and Yelena Belova. Yelena Belova, also a product of the Black Widow program, plays a significant role in the film universe. Black Widow is not only a powerful fighter but also a complex character with a troubled past who ultimately chooses to fight for justice. Besides Natasha and Yelena, other versions of Black Widow exist in the comics, such as Monica Chang and Jessica Drew.
