Blade

Blade is a fictional antihero character appearing in Marvel Comics, created by writer Marv Wolfman and penciller Gene Colan. He first appeared in the comic book *The Tomb of Dracula* #10 in 1973, initially as a supporting character before starring in his own storylines. Blade is a dhampir, a half-vampire with the powers and abilities of vampires, but immune to their weaknesses such as sunlight. This makes him known as 'The Daywalker.' He dedicates his life to ridding the world of vampires and is a master of martial arts and weaponry, including firearms and swords. Originally depicted as a human immune to vampire bites in Marvel comics, he was later established as a dhampir following his adaptations in *Spider-Man: The Animated Series* and the *Blade* film series. The character has been adapted into various media, including films (portrayed by Wesley Snipes), a television series (portrayed by Sticky Fingaz), and the Marvel Cinematic Universe (portrayed by Mahershala Ali).
