Doctor Strange

Stephen Vincent Strange, commonly known as Doctor Strange, is a fictional character in Marvel Comics and a major figure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). He was initially a brilliant but arrogant neurosurgeon who suffered severe hand injuries in a car accident. When Western medicine failed him, Strange embarked on a journey to Kamar-Taj, where he was trained by the Ancient One in the ways of magic and the Multiverse. Although initially focused on healing his hands, he was soon drawn into a conflict with Kaecilius and the Zealots, who sought to merge Earth with the Dark Dimension. Following the demise of the Ancient One, Strange became the new protector of the Sanctum Sanctorum, defending Earth from inter-dimensional threats. He has allied with the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy to combat Thanos, and has saved the world in numerous other events. In different stories, Doctor Strange has also faced threats from across the Multiverse, demonstrating his power and responsibilities as the Sorcerer Supreme. In the MCU, Doctor Strange is portrayed by Benedict Cumberbatch.
