Hank Pym is a fictional character in Marvel Comics known for his multiple superhero identities, including Ant-Man, Giant-Man, Goliath, Yellowjacket, and Wasp. He is a brilliant scientist with expertise in biochemistry, robotics, engineering, and physics. Pym's most famous invention is the "Pym Particles," a substance that allows him to alter the size of himself and objects. As the original Ant-Man, Pym initially used his shrinking ability and a helmet to communicate with ants. He later transformed into Giant-Man, gaining enormous size and strength. He also briefly operated as Goliath with similar abilities. When suffering a mental breakdown, Pym emerged as Yellowjacket, wielding bio-energy blasters. After the presumed death of his wife, Janet van Dyne, he briefly took on her Wasp identity. Pym is a founding member of the Avengers and the creator of the villainous AI, Ultron. He has endured numerous mental and emotional challenges, but remains an important and complex hero in the Marvel universe.
