Washout

Washout, whose real name is John Lopez, is a fictional mutant character in Marvel Comics. He made a brief appearance in X-Force vol. 1 #129 before having a larger role in the Weapon X series. John was initially a chronic bed-wetter until he discovered he had the mutant ability to generate a spurt of water upon touch. He attempted to join the new media-savvy X-Force under the codename "Washout" but was not recruited. Later, he joined the Weapon X Program, which enhanced his abilities, allowing him to transform his body into water, project high-pressure water jets from his arms, and even manipulate water within others. However, this enhancement had a severe side effect: he gradually dehydrated, and the more he used his powers, the faster his body would break down. Washout eventually joined the Underground movement opposing Weapon X and died during an attempt to kill the Director, due to the side effects of his powers. Despite failing in his attack, he created a diversion for the Underground to infiltrate Weapon X. Washout's powers included the ability to transform into a watery substance, project water, manipulate its form, and even control the fluids within other beings.
