Invisible Woman, whose real name is Susan "Sue" Storm-Richards, is a superheroine in Marvel Comics. She is a founding member of the Fantastic Four and the first female superhero created by Marvel during the Silver Age of Comic Books. Sue and her younger brother Johnny grew up in Glenville, Long Island. Her father was a physician, Franklin Storm. After a tragic accident where her mother died and her father was imprisoned for accidental killing, Sue encountered her future husband, Reed Richards, at a young age. Later, during a spaceflight, Sue, along with Reed, Johnny, and Ben Grimm, was exposed to cosmic radiation, granting her superpowers. Sue's abilities include invisibility and force field generation. Initially limited to making herself invisible, she later discovered the ability to render other objects invisible and create force fields. Sue evolved from being "Invisible Girl" to the "Invisible Woman," becoming a crucial member of the Fantastic Four, often using her power and intelligence to protect the world. Her romantic attraction to Namor and marriage to Reed form significant aspects of her story.
