Moon Knight

Moon Knight is a complex and compelling character in Marvel Comics. His real identity is Marc Spector, a former U.S. Marine and mercenary who, while on a mission in Egypt, was left for dead and resurrected by the Egyptian moon god Khonshu, becoming his avatar on Earth. Moon Knight possesses enhanced physical abilities, combat skills, and detective prowess, while also suffering from dissociative identity disorder, resulting in multiple personalities including the wealthy businessman Steven Grant and the cab driver Jake Lockley. His unstable mental state sometimes leads him to act violently and erratically, making him an outlier in the superhero community. Moon Knight's origin story and multiple identities provide rich narrative possibilities, making him a fan-favorite character. He has been a member of the Avengers and the Defenders, and has partnered with other Marvel heroes such as Spider-Man and the Punisher. In addition to comics, Moon Knight has also appeared in animation, video games, and television series, such as the Marvel Cinematic Universe's 'Moon Knight' series starring Oscar Isaac.
