Beta Ray Bill

Beta Ray Bill is a fictional superhero appearing in Marvel Comics, first debuting in Thor #337 (November 1983). Created by Walt Simonson, he was initially conceived as a monstrous-looking character who surprisingly proves to be a great hero. Bill is the first being outside of the Marvel Universe's Norse pantheon deemed worthy to wield Thor's hammer, Mjolnir. After an initial conflict with Thor over the weapon, the alien warrior was granted his own war hammer, Stormbreaker, and the two reconciled as staunch allies. Bill is a Korbinite who was chosen as the guardian of his people after his homeworld was destroyed by Surtur, and was transformed into a powerful cyborg warrior. Upon meeting Thor, Bill proved his worthiness to lift Mjolnir and eventually received Stormbreaker. He possesses superhuman strength, durability, speed, and flight abilities similar to Thor's, and Stormbreaker grants him powers similar to Mjolnir, including weather control, teleportation, and energy projection. Bill plays an important role in the Marvel Universe as a staunch ally of Thor and a powerful warrior.
