Firelord

Firelord, whose real name is Pyreus Kril, is a fictional character appearing in Marvel Comics. He was originally a Nova Centurion of Xandar and a starship captain. After his friend Gabriel Lan was abducted by Galactus, he pursued him, eventually becoming Galactus's new herald to learn his friend's fate. Galactus imbued him with the Power Cosmic, granting him the ability to manipulate fire, fly, and possess superhuman strength and durability. Firelord typically wields a flaming staff and can project energy from his eyes and staff. He has often clashed with Earth's heroes, sometimes as an enemy, sometimes as an ally. After his servitude to Galactus ended, he maintained his inner sense of justice but had very little patience for injustice. He has also fought alongside the Silver Surfer against Morg, and played a role in major events such as Annihilation.
